Position Title: Outreach Coordinator

Responsibilities:
The Outreach Coordinator works with Sr. Brand Managers to increase brand engagement among artists, retailers, employees, and the extended Golden community. The Outreach Coordinator is heavily focused on disseminating product samples, branded merchandise, and collateral packages to these audiences through events and direct communications, generating new contacts for the brands and stimulating brand advocacy. Position Title: Material Handler-2nd Shift

Location: New Berlin

This position works from 3:45pm to 2:15am, Monday through Thursday.

Responsibilities:
Receive and deliver incoming materials to appropriate locations. Pick and deliver WIP and component materials to filling area and stock WIP from Paint Making. Accurately count inventory, preform inventory tracking, and utilize computer skills to enter information about materials and products transactions in the ERP system. Prepare and inspect outbound carts of products being transferred to GAC Distribution Center and ensure manifest are complete and accurate. Prepare and inspect all outbound shipments to customers. Requires certification to operate multiple types of forklifts including counterbalance forklifts, sit down forklifts, stand up forklifts, cherry-pickers, and clamp and reach forklifts. Attention to detail is an absolute must for this position.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent with additional training in computer applications
  • 1-3 years working in a manufacturing environment
  • Fork lift, electric pallet jack, and order picker certification
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Attend and pass driver safety course.
  • Ability to safely operate company delivery trucks.

Position Title: 2nd Shift Shipping Technician
Department: Shipping
Location: Norwich

2nd shift times are from 3:15pm to 1:15am, Monday through Friday

Responsibilities:
Load/unload products onto and from trucks; review/complete documents; print shipping labels; perform cycle counts and inventory control; pick, pack, and label orders; check for quantities and quality; process orders; record identifying information; conduct inspection of products, orders, etc.; inform others of damages or shortages; complete required paperwork. This position will be HAZMAT trained, will have knowledge of shipping requirements for all GOLDEN products, and be trained on order pickers, wave machines, pallet jack, ride-on pallet jack, and the scanning system.

Workforce Development Board Announces Services for Businesses

The Workforce Development Board of Herkimer, Madison, Oneida, Chenango, Delaware and Otsego Counties (WDB HMO/CDO) today announced services to help businesses search out and attract talent, fill open positions and upskill employees.

Free or low-cost services and funding are available to help offset the costs associated with hiring and training:
Free Booth in Virtual Job Fairs. The WDB is utilizing Premier Virtual, a U.S.-based, Veteran-owned job fair platform. Premier Virtual is an easy-to-use job fair simulation that provides real-time interaction between recruiters and candidates, including video chat. The platform includes a customizable exhibitor booth with buttons to share video content, web-links, job vacancies, company overviews, embedded live or pre-recorded Zoom links, and the ability to access post-job fair reports and more. (Next HMO Job Fair: August 11th! Businesses and Job Seekers: REGISTER HERE. )
Custom Virtual Job Fair. For one employer, utilizing Premier Virtual, includes the above, plus customized job fair promotion, including social media, HMO/CDO website(s), email outreach and press releases. ($350)

Free Job Listings that Reach Across New York State and Targeted to Local Social Media. Job listings will appear on the NYS Job Bank and will also be posted on local HMO/CDO social media, websites, and in HMO/CDO newsletters.
On-The-Job Training Grants for Eligible Employees. Funding for employers utilizing on-the-job (OJT) training receive reimbursement of a percentage of eligible employees’ wages for a training period. In-house OJT training ensures the employee is trained in accordance with company standards and procedures, begins working immediately with a team, and quickly becomes productive. Employer rights remain intact. If the trainees hired do not meet their performance standards, the employer retains the right to terminate them.
Assistance with Apprenticeship Programs. WDB apprenticeship programs provide on-the-job learning, job-related classroom or online instruction, and pre-apprenticeship training. Employers who utilize apprentices report higher productivity, higher retention rates and a substantial return on investment.

Through the Workforce Innovation Opportunity Act, local Workforce Development Boards endeavor to strengthen the workforce by creating partnerships between businesses and workers that lead to long-term growth and prosperity for both.

Second shift works 3:45 PM to 2:15 AM, Monday through Thursday.

Responsibilities:
Work in all areas of the Filling Department getting supplies ready for filling operation; running filling machines; capping, labeling, putting product away; helping to keep work area clean and equipment properly cleaned and put in the proper location; serve as a member of the filling team in attending meetings, assisting with work process improvements, helping team members where needed. Use of production software and completion of necessary paperwork.

Responsibilities: Responsible for ensuring Direct to Customer distribution and logistics programs meet the needs of the company and our customers. Position Title: Paintmaker I - 2nd Shift
Department: Operations
Supervisor: Paintmaking Supervisor

2nd Shift works from 3:45pm-2:15am, Monday through Thursday

Responsibilities:
Individuals are required to operate and be efficient in at least two of the following: large versator, small versator, or all mills, and multiple pieces of equipment, including drum dumper, fork truck, manual jack, power jack, etc. This individual may be required to operate the bulk mixer. This position must also efficiently perform all processes, which may consist of mixing, milling, de-aerating, pumping, and quality control of paint and related products. Incumbent is also responsible for general cleaning of machinery and drums, as well as entering data into the ERP system. This position requires use of a respirator.
