Sidney, NY - CDO Workforce, serving businesses and employees in Chenango, Delaware, and Otsego County, today announced free training opportunities for local job seekers as well as employed workers.
“We provide a wide range of resources and services to our community,” says Maggie Gilbert, manager of the Sidney CDO Workforce One Stop Center. “This ranges from reviewing and drafting professional resumes, to high school equivalency classes, to training for specific careers, to linking job seekers to local job opportunities.”
“Much of our training and support services are available online,” adds Tylena Daniels, manager of the Norwich CDO Workforce One Stop Center. “Our customers are able to gain valuable career skills from their own home or workplace.”
“We also offer socially-distanced classroom training where customers are able to learn and prepare for careers that are in-demand in our area – such as CDL B driver’s license, certified nurse’s aide, carpentry, and more,” says Penny Seeger, supervisor of the Oneonta CDO Workforce One Stop Center.
